Childbirth Preparation
The Loving RN philosophy is that just as each individual is unique, so is each birth experience. Therefore your childbirth education should reflect the unique needs and concerns of you and your partner. Our ultimate goal for every family is a “Healthy Mom and Healthy Baby”- how you will reach that goal will be unique to you and your family.
Loving RN understands that there are many options and choices facing an expectant woman and her partner, and sometimes the unexpected can occur. We want to prepare you for your hospital birth experience with all the skills and information you need to confidently approach labor, birth and new parenthood. Whether your birth goes “perfectly” according to “plan” or you take a few “unexpected turns” along the way, we will equip you and your partner with tools, skills and knowledge to reach your “Healthy Mom and Healthy Baby” goal.
We are dedicated to bringing expert, professional childbirth classes directly to your home. Our staff of Registered Nurses will come to your home or other chosen location, at your convenience and provide you with the information and tools to be confident and prepared for your upcoming childbirth experience. Currently, classes are only available in San Diego County.
There are several advantages to a private childbirth preparation class:
- Personalized attention, no large impersonal groups for a more intimate experience.
- Full scheduling flexibility, we fit into your schedule, not just offer 1-2 courses a month.
- We come to you, in the comfort of your home or other location, not a hospital conference room or doctors office.
- Less time is spent on the questions and concerns of others, which may not pertain to you or your situation.
- Confidentiality is assured; you may discuss personal issues at ease.
- You have the sole attention of your instructor, an experienced Registered Nurse and Certified Childbirth Educator.
- Private classes can benefit those who may have apprehensions about being involved in group activities.
- Relatives that wouldn't consider attending a class in a hospital, may participate in a private class.
Personal Childbirth Classes
Through Loving RN’s personal childbirth classes, you and your partner are provided the support, information and individualized care you deserve. The classes are taught in the privacy of your own home or other convenient location – especially important if you are on “bed rest” or have a medical condition. We offer two standard classes, a 4 hour basic class, and a 6 hour complete class.

Custom Tailored Childbirth Classes
The ultimate in personalized attention and full scheduling flexibility! The class is customized to your specific needs and individual concerns (planned cesarean birth, vaginal birth, medicated or non-medicated birth, etc.) Like our Personal In-Home Classes, the custom tailored class is offered in the privacy of your own home or other convenient location. We will work with you on choosing topics that fit your needs, then prepare a custom class around those topics. Classes are charged on an hourly basis so you can choose how long the class will be and over how many sessions.
